Senior Software Engineer, Backend (Personalization Technology) at Grab in Remote

Day-to-day activities: Design and build distributed data and ML systems to serve personalized content Collaborate with business, product, data science and engineering stakeholders to ideate and define requirements for new features to grow the Personalization business Take end-to-end ownership of technical solutions, from initial design all the way to launch; managing the execution of complex projects spanning multiple teams and business functions Evaluate, compare and adopt new technologies that improve performance and scalability Write clean, high quality, well-tested code on a daily basis Review code and design proposals from across the organization Grow the team by conducting technical interviews Write technical design documents, perform data analysis, and present learnings Operate, tune and debug systems, adhering to the highest standards of operational excellence Minimum Requirements: 2 years of industry software development experience in large scale distributed systems Strong... knowledge of computer science fundamentals: data structures, algorithms, distributed systems, database and asynchronous architectures Proficient in at least 1 widely used backend language, including: Go, C++, Java, etc. Excellent written and verbal communication skills; sharp analytical abilities with proven design skills; able to think critically about growth and stability Bachelors or advanced degree in Computer Science, or equivalent The Nice-to-Haves: Hands-on experience with big data processing techniques for real time and batching such as Kafka, Flink and Spark Hands-on experience with ML systems such as feature store, online serving and data management Experience with multiple backend languages Salary Range: $80K -- $100K Minimum Qualification Software DevelopmentEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualificationsShow full descriptionCollapse
