Gradient Learning is seeking a Director of Data & Insights Product to lead the strategic evolution and implementation of its Data & Insights product, focusing on enhancing educational tools and resources for schools across the U.S.
Responsibilities: Develop the product strategy for Data & Insights, manage product development, conduct user testing, oversee data infrastructure, and lead the Data & Insights product delivery team.
Skills: Expertise in data visualization and analytics tools (e.g., Tableau), strong understanding of data infrastructure, and experience with AI and machine learning tools.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree (preferred), 5+ years in K-12 education, 3+ years in data product development and people management, proficiency in Snowflake or comparable cloud platforms, and familiarity with educational data standards.
Location: Flexible within the continental United States.
Compensation: $138000 - $150000 / Annually

The Gradient Learning Program offers schools a whole-student system to help schools realize their vision for whole-student growth. The program is utilized by hundreds of schools across the U.S. to fuel their whole student work.Along is a free, interactive video journal that helps teachers guide their students to reflect and grow all year long--whether they’re back in the classroom or learning remotely. Along brings skill-building resources and efficient communication into a dedicated space where every student feels seen and heard.

The Gradient Learning Program offers schools a Whole Student System to help schools realize their vision for Whole Student growth. We are seeking a Director of Data & Insights Product to lead the strategic evolution, implementation, and continuous improvement of the Data & Insights product as a unique and critical centerpiece of Gradient’s Whole Student System moving forward. This leader will ensure that school leaders and educators have access to meaningful, actionable insights that drive instruction and whole student growth—while spearheading the redesign and advancement of the current version of the product.
The Director will report to the Managing Director of Program Delivery and collaborate closely with the platform, instructional supports, and program success teams.

We are looking for a candidate who lives at the intersection of instructional, data, and technology expertise. We imagine this could be someone who began their career as an educator and later transitioned into a more technical role—working with data systems, visualizations, and product development to support learning outcomes. Alternatively, this may be someone with a strong foundation in data and insights who, through years of working in the education sector, has developed a deep and empathetic understanding of schools, educators, and instructional programming. In either case, the ideal candidate brings a blend of technical fluency, strategic thinking, and educational insight to drive impactful, user-centered product delivery.

Our work is national in scope, and our team is virtual. Location for this role is flexible within the continental United States.
Qualifications
Gradient Learning offers full-time employees competitive salaries and benefits. The beginning range for this role is $138,000-$150,000, with candidates typically starting at the beginning portion of the range; this enables the employee's growth in the range over time. The actual placement of the range depends on the candidate's qualifications, internal equity considerations, and the budget earmarked for this role.
