Pros
The pay and benefits package is above standard for my role. In the past 5 years of employment I’ve had 4 raises and 3 promotions to higher positions. Work Life balance is highly favored. Large support teams and organizational role developments. Only way to go is up with hard work and dedication. I am a very happy employee.Cons
At this moment I have none. Our culture is built around diverse perspectives because everyone’s unique story, experiences, and ideas are valued here. We cultivate an inclusive culture and have built safe spaces for our employees in many ways, such as through inclusion trainings (both self-paced and in person) and our 11 Employee Resource Groups listed below.
We even have a dedicated DEI team within our Global Impact Organization that is focused on all things diversity and inclusion for McKesson.

Making an impact in our communities
As one of the largest healthcare companies in the world, McKesson has the ability to make a huge social impact. Our I2CARE values guide us day to day, but they extend beyond our internal culture. We have a responsibility to invest in our communities to help people access quality, affordable healthcare.
Through the generous volunteerism of our employees, we have found many ways to support the communities that need it most. ‘Community Impact Days’ have been McKesson’s largest annual company-wide volunteer event for the past 25 years, but volunteering isn’t limited to once per year. We coordinate opportunities for employees to come together often and give back such as National Volunteer Week, Earth Day, and more.
The McKesson Foundation is another way we are making a social impact in our communities. Founded in 1943, the Foundation is a 501(c)(3) dedicated to removing barriers to quality healthcare. We do this in a number of ways: reducing the burdens of cancer, supporting disaster relief, and more. One example is our passion for diversifying the healthcare talent pipeline and bringing underrepresented students into the field by awarding over $4 million in grants to pharmacy schools.
McKesson is an impact-driven organization that touches virtually every aspect of health. We are a diversified healthcare services leader dedicated to advancing health outcomes for all. We partner with biopharma companies, care providers, pharmacies, manufacturers, and governments to deliver insights, products and services to help make quality care more accessible and affordable.
Whether you're in a Customer Support, Sales, Finance, Marketing, Technology, HR, Operations, or Healthcare role, McKesson has career opportunities throughout our four business segments— U.S. Pharmaceutical, Prescription Technology Solutions, Medical-Surgical Solutions and International. Other McKesson Corporation businesses include Ontada, CoverMyMeds, and Genospace.
Here, you are part of a team that embraces new ideas and sees possibilities. Your unique experiences and perspectives belong here to help us create better care for all. Together, we will shape the future of health for patients, our communities, our people, and you.
We believe how we work is just as important as the work we do. I2CARE refers to the #TeamMcKesson values which guide us everyday, in every interaction. I2CARE stands for Integrity, Inclusion, Customer-First, Accountability, Respect and Excellence. This code serves as a framework to inform our decisions and it unites all employees - connecting us across teams, business units, geographies and functions.
McKesson is committed to providing an inclusive work environment for every employee. Our differences make us stronger, and we know that we are better together. We acknowledge diversity encompasses many traits – visible and invisible – and embracing those differences brings valuable perspectives and creative thinking to our most critical challenges.
Employee Resource Groups – the heart of McKesson

A global leader of inclusion

Technology is at the core of McKesson’s mission to improve care in every setting. From taking traditionally paper-based processes and making them fully electronic, to creating drug distribution technology that helps maintain the efficacy of specialty drugs, to developing tools that help break down affordability barriers, to the creation of prescription adherence technology. Join #TeamMckesson to truly make an impact in the work you do and maintain a healthy work life balance while you do it.
By innovating through data and technology, we further our purpose of advancing health outcomes for all. Along with our robust and reliable ecommerce platform, our teams are mining data insights to transform go-to-market cancer therapies and investing in AI to streamline services. Our team members are leaders in their respective fields; some recently spoke at South by Southwest (SXSW) and shared their extensive knowledge on topics about healthcare technology and cybersecurity.
At McKesson, we encourage innovation and support employee development. We value our interns and associates and believe we can learn just as much from them, as they can from us. We want to be a part of YOUR journey!
