JOB SUMMARY:
The graduation coach is a Title I funded position aimed at supporting Title I high schools with a significant number of students at risk for dropping out. The graduation coach is someone who creates and maintains positive relationships with students, families, and school staff in order to increase graduation outcomes for students. The role of the graduation coach is two-fold: to find pathways to graduation for students at risk of not graduating on-time and to re-engage students who have dropped out. The graduation coach will identify students in need of support and work with them in collaboration with multiple stakeholders to find a pathway to graduation and support their post-secondary goals. By interacting directly with individuals and groups of students, the graduation coach will help students navigate barriers to learning and connect students and families to comprehensive supports, services, and resources.
