Grafana Labs is actively seeking a dynamic Strategic Sourcing Manager to join our Finance team, playing a crucial role in developing robust internal partnerships and advancing category management primarily within the IT, Security, Product & Engineering organization. This role may require assistance in other categories as needed. This pivotal position involves crafting and executing a comprehensive plan for all technology investments supporting these departments, including software, hosting spend, and hardware. The Strategic Sourcing Manager will closely collaborate with internal stakeholders, forging strong vendor relationships to seamlessly align procurement strategies with Grafana’s broader objectives. We are particularly interested in candidates with a proven track record in hyper growth environments and experience in a public company setting.

This role is 100% remote and reports to the Director of Strategic Sourcing and Procurement

Core Responsibilities

• Build and maintain meaningful relationships with stakeholders across the business in the search for operational excellence and the highest level of support
• Create category-specific plans
• Partner with the necessary teams to analyze hosting spend with AWS, Azure and GCP and design a long-term strategy to optimize these relationships
• Leverage data, market knowledge and external relationships into meaningful insights that can be turned into action for positive outcomes
• Build and run sourcing events and negotiate agreements with vendors focusing on long-term successful partnerships. Manage vendor relationships beyond purchase
• Guide and support stakeholders through the source-to-pay process with exceptional care
• Assist in procurement system management, design and management of workflows and SOPs, and end user training on process and policy
• Project management including collecting and balancing the needs of many cross-functional teams for a great overall outcome

What You’ll Need To Be Successful

• At least 3-5 years of strategic sourcing experience in the technology space, experience with global companies preferred
• Hands on experience working with hosting providers and building multi-year strategic agreements
• The ability to be creative in finding solutions for stakeholders, and a hyperfocus on positive support
• The desire to build from the ground up and be involved in the entire source-to-pay cycle
• Experience supporting IT sourcing, technology categories and technology services
• Familiarity with standard procurement concepts, practices, and procedures
• P2P system knowledge is a plus (Zip P2P, NetSuite, Expensify, CLM tools, etc.)
• The desire to solve problems with autonomy, think outside the box and put the needs of others first
• A commitment to providing direct feedback to other team members including management and the ability to receive feedback and implement it
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Working knowledge of Finance processes and requirements
• Highly motivated with the ability to work in a rapidly changing global and remote environment

In the United States, the base compensation range for this role is $120,000 - $145,000. Actual compensation may vary based on level, experience, and skillset as assessed in the interview process. Benefits include equity, bonus (if applicable), and other benefits listed on our careers page.
