The Solution Consulting (pre-sales) organization is a vital and well-respected part of the sales ecosystem at Granicus. We are hiring a Pre-Sales Solution Consultant Manager! We are looking for a motivated thought leader to lead a team of Enterprise and SMG pre-sales solutions consultants supporting an international sales force. This leader will be responsible for managing and supporting a team, covering activities for documentation, technical sales, demos, and proof of concepts. We are seeking a hands-on leader capable of going wide and deep on solution fit and solution positioning during sales cycles. This role requires excellent interpersonal skills to work cross-functionally as a trusted advisor to go-to-market sales, pre-sales, customer success, partner organizations, and our product development and marketing teams. Your influence can have a far-ranging impact. 

What your impact will look like:

  • Understand the needs of the regional sales organization, and develop plans to ensure outstanding support of those needs
  • Develop team members according to the demands of the business and according to their individual professional goals.
  • Develop and maintain a recruiting pipeline of potential SC candidates to meet future business demands
  • Work with regional sales directors to prioritize regional Solution Consulting efforts.
  • Assign resources to sales opportunities and consistently evaluate progress against goals
  • Assign resources as required to marketing and other efforts to support demand generation
  • Develop and deploy team training curriculums to meet the changing demands of the sales organization
  • Evaluate and coach team members regularly through analysis of direct observation, peer feedback, and sales feedback
  • Ensure proper alignment of resources and effective utilization of skill sets within the assigned region
  • Manage day-to-day activities such as resource scheduling conflicts, expense review and approval, activity reporting, etc.
  • Continuously evaluate the effectiveness of processes, in order to prioritize those which are most important to evolve
  • Provide thought leadership to the organization on how to evolve our approaches to better meet both customer and internal expectations

You'll love this job if you have:

  • A self-motivated entrepreneur and technology enthusiast with a proven track record in software sales and knowledge of technology. Relish the dynamic atmosphere of a technical organization with a rapidly expanding customer base. Strong presentation and professional written communication skills are a must. Strong ability to quickly comprehend and explain complex engineering concepts in simple, effective terms. 5+ years experience in presales, consulting, or GovTech
  • Strong presales experience as an individual contributor and leader, preferably at Granicus
  • Experience leading or mentoring a team of early in career as well as senior individual contributors
  • Ability to lead people, process, and systems development
  • Understanding of standard approaches to coaching, mentoring, and management of individual contributors
  • Experience working in a fast-growing IT environment including software, cloud, or customer experience of the same
  • Experience in Value-Based Selling or Solution Selling
  • A thorough understanding of the SaaS Market space, the provision of PaaS-based solutions, and a broad understanding of government technology

$105,000 - $120,000 a year



+ commission
