The Grants Coordinator position performs high-level professional work related to the coordinating and administration of Abiomed’s Grants and Donations Program. The Grants Coordinator oversees the submissions process and manages the Grants Committee. The Grants Coordinator will develop and implement administrative procedures and controls for the grant application process; ensure that grants are processed and administered in a timely manner and according to grant requirements; and be responsible for effectively communicating with internal and external parties.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Organize and manage the Abiomed grants process as in accordance with Abiomed’s Code of Conduct and other policies assuring that Abiomed meets its regulatory, budgetary, and legal obligations in e-management of all grants, from application to closure.
• Key responsibilities in this area will be budget analytics, communicating with applicants and strengthening and streamlining the grants process.
• Develop and provide training to business partners and stakeholders on Abiomed’s grants process.
• Function as the Grants Committee secretary and provide administrative support to individuals in their role as Grants Committee members.
• Contribute to Grant Review Committee decision-making process by demonstrating knowledge of Abiomed policy and procedure and external guidelines such as AdvaMed Code and MedTech Code.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s Degree with 2-4 years’ experience in a business, customer relations, or project management function
• High degree of integrity, discretion, self-motivation, and initiative
• Able to work independently and handle a wide variety of situations, including conflict resolution and troubleshooting issues.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook) is required.
• Excellent verbal/written communication, organizational, prioritization, time-management skills and attention to detail required.
