Graphic Design Manager
Position Summary:
KBR is seeking a talented and experienced Proposal Graphic Design Manager to join our National Security Solutions (NSS) Group. NSS provides high-end engineering, intelligence, cyber security, missile defense, and advanced technology solutions to our customers in the intelligence and national security communities.
The NSS Proposal Graphic Design Manager will be a proactive team player, excited and ready to engage on a multitude of projects with various teams across our markets and capabilities, focusing on the design and development of visually compelling and impactful graphics/infographics, presentations, and brochures for both print and digital – from concept to completion. Must have proven skills with Adobe Creative Suite software (primarily InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop) and strong presentation development experience (primarily PowerPoint), and expertise in video presentation. Microsoft programs (Word, Excel, Visio) also useful.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Primary duties and responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following:

Leads strategic graphic design solutions to support in the production of presentations, documents, and collateral, including but not limited to proposals, PowerPoint presentations, story boards, covers/dividers, marketing collateral/brochures, branding, illustrations, and interactive PDFs.

Develops the images used in a variety of creative projects, including proposals, oral presentations, capability briefings and brochures, advertisements, corporate identity, packaging and infographics, logos, web/mobile sites, and more.

Plans, conceptualizes, and designs compelling and impactful graphics while collaborating with pursuit team members and technical project staff to strengthen messaging.

Conveys complex ideas with smart graphic designs and can develop concepts visually beyond bullet points.

Develops and execute creative concepts that align with brand guidelines and effectively communicate the desired message to target audiences.

Ability to extract requirements from government-issued solicitation documents to understand and incorporate compliance requirements for design.

Manages multiple design projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality work while meeting deadlines.

Supports proposal services with coordination across several contributing departments for graphic and proposal development activities

Acts as a resource for graphic design methods and tools, developing and implementing process improvements, tool(s) improvements, and best practices.

Shares technical expertise with others and provides guidance and support; mentors other team members in technical areas.

Maintains a well-organized proposal graphics library with design files and assets for easy access and retrieval for future reference.

Stays up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in graphics design, video presentations, and multimedia content creation
Basic Qualifications and Skills Requirements:

Associate or bachelor’s degree in graphic design, multimedia design, or related discipline from an accredited College/University or work experience in an industry that matches the requirements of the position in lieu of degree.

5 to 7 years of experience as a graphic designer, preferably with a focus on proposal or marketing collateral design

Strong skills in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Acrobat) and Microsoft PowerPoint; proficient with Microsoft Office 365 applications

(Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, Visio); experience working with additional creative, visual, interactive, and multimedia tools a plus, particularly Adobe After Effects and Premiere Pro or similar video production software

Solid understanding of design principles, such as composition, balance, and proportion.

Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.

Ability to receive and provide constructive feedback and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Strong organizational and time management skills

Ability to maintain a well-organized archive of design files and assets.

Strong verbal and written communication skills and be able to effectively collaborate with multiple team members to deliver quick turn-around graphics with high quality.

Exceptional creativity and attention to detail, with a keen eye for visual aesthetics and composition

Portfolio showcasing a range of graphics design work, including proposal graphics, video presentations, and multimedia content
Preferred Qualifications and Skills Requirements:

Proactive mindset – ability to share ideas and work with different teams to bring concepts to life

Ability to problem solve and contribute to moderate to complex visual solutions

Prior experience working in government contracting and supporting deadline-oriented projects.

Experience creating visually compelling and compliant graphics for federal proposals.

Knowledge of the proposal development process

Ability to recognize areas in proposals where graphics are best suited to tell the story

Flexibility to work extended hours and weekends when project deadlines require

Ability to travel occasionally to support project work and team

APMP Foundation Level Certification.
Security Clearance Requirements:

Active Top Secret w/ SCI clearance required
Work Schedule:
Hybrid – Flexible schedule with time spent working from home and working and collaborating in the office.
Scheduled Weekly Hours:
40 hours per week
Basic Compensation:
$75,000 – $111,000
The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.
Additional Compensation:
KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels, per internal policy or contractual designation. Additional compensation may be in the form of sign on bonus, relocation benefits, short term incentives, long term incentives, or discretionary payments for exceptional performance.
