Accounting Representative II - Accounts Payable

If you are ready to join an engaging and driven team such as ours, we would love to hear from you!Essential Job Functions and ResponsibilitiesPerforms a variety of routine and non-routine accounting functions, in accordance with Accounts Payable procedures.• Receive and review invoices from vendors, service providers, and other entities. Verify the general ledger coding and authorization approval levels.• Prepare and process payments for approved invoices and expenses. Ensure payments are made on time and accurately using internal systems and affiliate banking portals.• Communicate with other departments and vendors regarding payment inquiries, discrepancies, and issue resolution. Build and maintain positive relationships with vendors and service providers.• Adhere to company & department policies, procedures, and internal controls related to accounts payable and expense management.• Utilize accounting software and systems to enter data, process transactions, and generate reports.• Assist in internal and external audits by providing documentation, explanations, and support as requested.• Cross-train and assist with Accounts Receivable functions.• Performs other duties as assigned.Job RequirementsEducation: High School Diploma or equivalent. College level coursework in Accounting preferred.Experience: Generally, 1 to 3 years of related experience. Previous experience in the insurance industry preferred.
