SummaryThe Senior Project Manager will lead construction projects from pre-construction through close-out, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires strong leadership, project management expertise, and the ability to manage complex commercial construction projects. The Senior Project Manager will act as the primary contact between the client, subcontractors, and internal teams.Key Responsibilities• Oversee and manage all phases of construction projects from pre-construction planning, budgeting, scheduling, and execution through closeout.• Lead project team(s), including site superintendents, engineers, and other personnel, ensuring alignment with project goals.• Develop and manage project budgets, timelines, and risk mitigation strategies to ensure successful project completion.• Act as the primary point of contact for clients, maintaining strong relationships and managing expectations throughout the project lifecycle.• Collaborate with the estimating team to provide pre-construction services, including pricing and value engineering.• Review and approve subcontractor contracts, ensuring adherence to terms and quality standards.• Perform project reviews to assess financial performance, construction progress, and risk management.• Resolve project issues, including disputes, delays, or unforeseen conditions, with appropriate problem-solving techniques.• Conduct regular meetings with stakeholders to provide project updates, address concerns, and ensure open communication.• Oversee the preparation of project documentation, including RFI (Request for Information), submittals, and change orders.• Mentor and develop junior project managers and support staff, fostering a high-performance team environment.• Ensure project closeout, including final inspections, punch lists, and project documentation, is completed efficiently.Qualifications• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.• 10+ years of experience in construction project management, preferably within commercial general contracting.• Proven track record of managing large-scale projects, big-box retail preferred• Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively manage teams and client relationships.• Excellent knowledge of construction means, methods, and technology.• Proficiency in construction project management software (e.g., Procore, PlanGrid) and scheduling tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera).• Understanding of local building codes, regulations, and safety standards.• Ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
