Position Overview

Greenlife Healthcare Staffing is seeking an experienced Nurse Manager to oversee nursing operations for a non-profit network of Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs) in New York City. This role is pivotal in ensuring access to equitable, high-quality healthcare by leading nursing teams, coordinating interdisciplinary care, and supporting initiatives that align with the organization’s mission to serve underserved communities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee nursing operations to ensure effective patient flow, both for walk-ins and via telephone triage
  • Perform venipuncture, administer medications (including immunizations), and assist with diagnostic procedures
  • Guide nursing staff in providing quality patient care, ensuring adherence to clinical protocols
  • Organize and direct workflows, making informed decisions and prioritizing tasks
  • Foster effective communication among team members and patients
  • Monitor inventory and equipment, ensuring adequate resources for patient care
  • Assist providers with diagnostic procedures and treatment regimens
  • Create and lead interdisciplinary Quality Improvement (QI) initiatives
  • Achieve compliance with regulatory agency standards
  • Conduct leadership and nursing meetings, ensuring effective collaboration and problem-solving

Qualifications

  • Education:
    • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
    • Master’s degree in Nursing or Healthcare Administration (preferred)
  • Licensure/Certifications:
    • Active New York State RN license
    • NYS Infection Control Certificate
    • BCLS Completion Card
    • Child Abuse Certificate
  • Language:
    • Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
  • Experience:
    • At least 2 years of nursing experience in a clinical setting
    • Leadership experience in nursing or healthcare settings preferred
  • Soft Skills:
