Position Overview
GreenLife Healthcare Staffing is currently seeking a Registered Dietitian to serve as a Nursing Home Surveyor / Complaint Investigator. This role supports regulatory oversight by conducting surveys and investigations to ensure nutritional care compliance in long-term care facilities across New York.
Responsibilities
- Conduct surveys and complaint investigations at nursing homes related to dietary services
- Assess facility compliance with nutrition-related Federal and State regulations
- Draft clear and concise Statements of Deficiencies (SOD) using Principles of Documentation
- Review and evaluate Plans of Correction for regulatory compliance
- Input data into required federal and state systems
- Participate in Immediate Jeopardy monitoring situations
- Attend hearings and testify if needed
- Follow Department of Health (DOH) policies, schedules, and protocols
- Travel to on-site locations throughout New York as assigned

Qualifications
- Active New York State license as a Registered Dietitian
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in a medical or long-term care setting
- Experience in nursing home surveillance or compliance review preferred
- Strong knowledge of state and federal dietary regulations
- SMQT Certification preferred, or ability to obtain within 12 months
- Must have a valid driver’s license and ability to travel regularly
