GreenPoint Ag is seeking to fill a Financial Planning & Analysis position at the GPAH headquarters in Decatur, AL. This is a full-time position and will begin as in the office full-time and work towards a hybrid schedule. This position does not offer relocation and is not eligible for sponsorship opportunities.
The FP&A Analyst I will support the FP&A team in leveraging data for modeling, financial analysis, and reporting.
Essential Functions
The Financial Analyst I will be heavily focused on the mechanics of building, managing, refreshing, and updating reports to support the Retail side of our business.
· Collect, compile, and validate data for future analysis
· Work with financial data to identify trends, areas of concern, and opportunities
· Provide analytical support on business results
· Provide support in identifying progress towards company financial target achievement via data-driven insights
· Develop a key understanding of key business drivers
· Assist with budgeting processes
· Project work to optimize long-term financial performance within the Retail business
· Work with forecasting tools to include detailed department level review of future cost trends
Required Qualifications
· 4-year Bachelor degree in Accounting, Finance Agricultural Business
· Entry level; may have less than 6 months of experience in the private sector
· Internship or 1-2 years work experience is optimal
· Experience or knowledge of the agricultural sector highly desired
