Sr. Credit Specialist

The Sr. Credit Specialist will be responsible for providing credit and collections support to Accounts Receivable and Cash collection, general ledger accounting, and reconciliation of customer accounts.

This position is located in the Decatur, AL corporate office and expected to work on site, no remote work.

Essential functions (not an inclusive list of duties)

·         Setup, Maintain and update Wholesale customer accounts in Operating system.
·         Pull credit bureau and trade reports, D&B Reports and send bank references.
·         Posts customer credit card payments and checks received daily.
·         Receive, record and deposit miscellaneous checks assigning to specific ledger accounts.
·         Print bank activity daily and post ACH and Wire payments received.
·         Scan and file all checks and deposits in electronic fault
·         Make 3rd Party Remote deposits.
·         Process and manage Wholesale customer prepay seed bookings and reports.
·         Assists in the resolution of payment discrepancies, billing errors and customer complaints
·         Provide customer service assistance to Retail and Wholesale customers.
·         Print and mail Wholesale daily invoices and monthly statements.
·         Process direct order, order entry, and miscellaneous billing invoices.  
·         Receives, researches, and resolves a variety of internal inquiries including communicating the resolution of discrepancies to the appropriate department. 
·         Setup and maintain Accounts Payable payments i.e., monthly leases
·         Processes all returned checks by notifying and assisting retail locations to collect
·         Assist Director of Credit with special projects
 
Qualifications 
·         Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or business required
·         3-5 years’ experience in the accounting/credit industry preferred.
·         Accuracy and detail oriented a must.
·         Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
·         Must work well with others
·         Multitask and prioritize job responsibilities.
·         Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
·         Agriculture industry experience is a plus.
·         Proficient with MS Office tools, including MS Word, Excel, Outlook and Power Point
