The Impact You'll Have
As a Staff Machine Learning Engineer focused on ML and AI centric feature delivery, you will play a critical role in enhancing the synthetic data features of Gretel's platform. In this position, you will be responsible for building and maintaining robust features utilizing various machine learning competencies to deliver critical capabilities to data scientists and machine learning customers of Gretel. This work is highly impactful and will contribute to the growth and success of Gretel’s platform with new and existing customers.
What You Will Do
Work within the backend engineering team, focusing on parts of the product that directly utilize machine learning tooling or enable customers to use synthetic data within their own machine learning processes
Contribute to core areas of the product such as: synthetic modeling algorithms, Gretel's synthetic data evaluation framework, and Gretel's core platform components where ML is used to acquire and process customer data with synthetic data models
Contribute to Gretel's LLM ecosystem by working with LLM agents, contributing to Gretel's Tabular LLM, and Gretel's GPT-x model which enables customers to operationalize open-source LLMs for synthetic data generation
Be a core contributor of code, tests, and application/data/systems architecture on a small team of engineers working across the stack
Own both customer and developer happiness for your products in production, working with your own and other teams to build operational transparency and resiliency into every layer of deployed applications
Coordinate with engineering and product leads to define, prioritize, and task projects that help us meet business objectives with our partners
Requirements
A minimum of 7+ years of software engineering experience, including significant experience building on cloud provider platforms and working with ML/AI frameworks and tooling
Strong programming skills in Python, with 5+ years for machine learning (ML) modeling and applied research
Hands-on experience with building Deep Learning applications
Proficiency in using ML toolkits such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, etc.
Familiarity with platforms such as AWS, GCP, Kubernetes, Docker, etc.
Demonstrated experience in working on complex software projects and a track record of delivering technical excellence
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
The ability to effectively manage multiple communication channels

Employee compensation will be determined based on interview performance, level of experience, specialization of skills, and market rate.
