Groundskeeper 20hrs/week Days UH Parma Housekeeping

Description
Removes snow from grounds, entrances, etc. as required. Performs landscape maintenance including, but not limited to, lawn mowing, edging, raking leaves, and watering newly reseeded areas, shrubs, and flowers. Cleans and maintains the entrances, surrounding buildings, and grounds of the facility by keeping the areas free of trash, litter, spills; removal of trash container contents and cleaning window wells. Cleans and Maintains riding and powered equipment. Provides correct list of required materials and/or parts and completes work orders timely. Adheres to regulations and hospital policy, and uses all appropriate safety equipment as required. This includes Infection Control, BSI, Hazardous Material policies and OSHA regulations. Recognizes hazardous materials or unsafe situations and immediately reports them to management. Maintains positive relations with patients, co-workers, vendors, etc. This includes greeting patients and visitors, and offering unsolicited assistance. Performs duties as assigned. Ability to use and maintain related equipment required. Specific groundskeeper experience in a large hospital is preferred. Must be detail-oriented and organized, with good follow-up skills. Notable client service skills required. Ability to function independently and as a team player in a fast-paced environment required. Must have basic written and verbal communication skills. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds required. Must be able to perform work while standing, walking, bending, sitting or climbing. Demonstrated ability to use PCs and general office equipment (i.e. printers, copy machine, FAX machine, etc.) preferred. Qualifications
High School Equivalent / GED Valid OH DL. 2 yrs experience in lawn and ground maintenance preferred.
