Client Investment Manager

Role Summary & ImpactOur Investment teams bring holistic media plans to life. They work in conjunction with our planning teams and are responsible for the negotiating and purchasing of media – across both linear and digital platforms including premium video, mobile and OTT. As the Manager of Client Investment, you will oversee media negotiations and buying/activation for one or more assigned accounts. You will work with Planning teams to provide strategic market insights, trends, pricing benchmarks, and oversight. You will also manage spending across major vendors while monitoring client budgets and adherence to KPIs. You will utilize your analytical, resourceful problem-solving skills, and ability to motivate others to develop and maintain strong client relationships and manage junior staff members.Key Responsibilities• Participate in and help manage RFP process and vendor selection.• Help centrally manage negotiations/rate tracking/planning costs/benchmarking/ budget management of the assigned account(s).• Manage vendor relations (Inventory avails, IOs, notify if included/excluded from buy).• Assist junior staff with entering the partner buys into Buy platforms, sending out IO/Contracts and preparing campaigns for launches (trafficking, setting up ad serving, etc.).• Ensure all buys are entered correctly into systems (naming conventions, budgets, placements, compliance, updates, etc.), and ensure that campaign launches and delivery/pacing are occurring.• Keep current on partner and marketplace innovations, ad models, and technologies.• Proactively follow up on client team requests with a key awareness of client deadlines.• Oversee management of commercial inventory allocation and maintenance process, including monitoring audience delivery, and negotiating makegoods.• Integrate with the Communication/Strategic Planning team to gain insights on objectives, KPIs, strategies, audiences, etc. to ensure tactical buys deliver against goals.• Manage and mentor junior-level staff.Requirements• Bachelor’s degree in advertising, marketing, business administration, and communications; OR equivalent professional work experience.• 3-5+ years of prior media investment experience desired.• Experience training and mentoring junior staff.• Build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams and external vendors.• Be capable of working successfully within a team as well as independently.• Demonstrated ability to present in person, via telephone and virtually.• Strong quantitative and analytical/results-oriented skills.• Excellent time-management and follow-through skills.• Advanced proficiency in Excel with intermediate PowerPoint and Word skills.• Strong understanding of interactive research and buying tools.Life at GroupMOur passion for shaping the next era of media includes investing in our employees to help them do their best work, and we’re just as committed to employee growth as we are to responsible media investment.
