Your opportunity

We are looking for someone curious and motivated to join our Inside Sales team. You will target, grow, and close new business by engaging with prospects and customers to move them forward in the sales process. This is a meaningful position focused on net new logos, so you’ll have an excellent opportunity to develop and advance your career in sales.

You'll be successful as an Inside Sales Representative because you thrive in a diverse team environment and are excited to develop your sales career in a SaaS-based high tech company that has an ever-growing demand for its solutions. You will be joining a team that supports career development and provides you with the tools, resources, and leadership to be successful.

What you'll do
  • Easily communicate the business impact of extraordinary software to both technical and business customers
  • Develop sales plans to win new clients and achieve your quota
  • Navigate through complex organizations and sell to multiple decision-makers including the “C Suite”
  • Prospect and generate relationships with new customers
  • Have passion for driving new businesses to adopt New Relic
  • Perform sales presentations/demonstrations to match solutions with identified leads
  • Run the entire sales process from prospect to close
  • Develop and run pipeline activity and supervise sales activity against assigned quotas
  • Acquire and integrate industry knowledge related to general trends, new technologies, and competitors
  • Effectively use Salesforce.com and other sales tools to engage prospective buyers into value-driven conversations
  • Explain the value of New Relic’s platform to potential customers in alignment with their role and business objectives
This role requires
  • 2+ years of closing sales experience
  • Validated background with a track record of continually exceeding quota targets
  • Ability to uncover information on customer/prospect calls around business processes, critical success factors, and competition to deliver a valuable business solution
  • Entrepreneurial problem solver, with good judgment skills and proven track record in solving sophisticated business challenges
  • Advanced critical thinking skills
  • Excellent presentation skills, business writing skills and oral communication skills
  • Strong understanding of Salesforce.com is required
  • Passion for sales
Bonus points if you have
  • Prior BDR/SDR SaaS sales experience
  • Experience within the Observability space
  • Consultative, solution experience selling software products

Estimated On-Target Earnings Range: $ 112000 - $ 140000
The pay range above represents a reasonable estimate of the on target earnings (salary plus target sales incentives) for the listed position. This role is eligible for a commission plan (as defined in the sales incentive plan document) and a competitive equity package. Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on job-related factors such as an applicant’s skills, qualifications, and experience.
