On behalf of our partner in the defence-tech domain, GT is looking for a Senior Frontend Engineer interested in AI and aerospace.
Our client is a cutting-edge Aerospace and Defense company committed to delivering innovative, secure, and compliant solutions for our customers. They specialize in mission-critical technology services for government and private sector customers, ensuring excellence in aerospace systems design, performance, and compliance.
Currently, they are working on the AI-driven collaborative framework for the Continuous Integration and Continuous Development (CI/CD) of defence hardware and software, through which US and allied-defense industrial base participants can cooperate to develop and modernize major defense platforms.
So, they are seeking a skilled and creative Senior Frontend Engineer to join their engineering team. In this role, you will take ownership of designing and developing intuitive, secure, and responsive user interfaces that support critical aerospace and defense applications. You’ll work closely with backend engineers, product managers, and designers to build seamless and compliant user experiences, enabling users to interact with complex data and mission systems with clarity and confidence.
You’ll leverage modern technologies like TypeScript, Next.js, and Apollo to deliver high-performance frontends that meet rigorous performance, security, and usability standards. Your work will directly contribute to systems used in real-world defense and aerospace operations, where clarity, speed, and precision matter most.

UI/UX Implementation: Design, develop, and maintain responsive, high-performance user interfaces using TypeScript and Next.js
GraphQL Integration: Work with Apollo to integrate GraphQL APIs for efficient, real-time data fetching and state management
Work closely with backend engineers and data teams to consume and visualize analytical data through intuitive, interactive user interfaces
Translate complex mathematical or engineering-driven datasets into clear and impactful frontend presentations
Ensure frontend performance and scalability when dealing with data-heavy views or dashboards
Performance Optimization: Ensure applications are optimized for speed, scalability, and an exceptional user experience across devices
Component Architecture: Build reusable and maintainable frontend components and design systems to ensure consistency across the platform
Collaboration: Partner closely with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to define and implement new features
Testing & Quality Assurance: Write unit and integration tests using modern testing frameworks to ensure robust, bug-free code
Code Reviews: Participate in and lead code reviews, ensuring best practices and high standards for frontend development
Accessibility: Advocate for and implement accessibility best practices to make our platform inclusive for all users
Stay Current: Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in frontend development to ensure our technology stack remains cutting-edge
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent hands-on experience
5+ years of professional frontend development experience, with deep expertise in TypeScript and modern JavaScript frameworks
Background in engineering, mathematics, or a related quantitative field is highly desirable
Experience working with data analytics systems and a deep understanding of how data flows from backend to frontend
Proven ability to build data-driven interfaces, dashboards, or interactive visualizations
Advanced proficiency with Next.js, React, and supporting libraries
Experience working with GraphQL APIs, ideally using Apollo Client, in data-intensive environments
Strong grasp of responsive design, accessibility standards, and modern CSS frameworks
Familiarity with testing tools and frameworks such as Jest, React Testing Library, or equivalent
A solid understanding of frontend performance optimization and secure web application practices
Prior experience developing interfaces in regulated or high-security environments (e.g., aerospace, defense, healthcare, or finance) is a strong plus
Strong attention to detail and a passion for crafting exceptional, user-friendly experiences
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally in fast-paced, mission-driven teams
