Revenue Team
Our Revenue Team plays an integral role with regard to Guidewire’s current operations, our growth objectives, and the broader finance organization. The revenue team has an important seat at the table with the CEO, CFO, and the Sales leadership team as it relates to deals, new products, licensing, and business model expansion. We operate in 17 countries today with plans to drive our growth through organic initiatives as well as acquisitions and partnerships. As our company expands the business to provide new cloud-based solutions, our revenue team will also be evolving. The revenue team receives a lot of exposure with opportunities to influence the long-term direction of the company including how we license and sell our software, consulting, and cloud services.
The Role
As the Revenue Analyst, you will be a contributing member of the revenue accounting team and will report to the Revenue Supervisor. This role is focused on the Partnership transactions including Royalty Expense arrangements (transaction with third party vendor in a relationship with sales of customer contracts), Revenue Share arrangement (resell of the vendor product, referral program), MDF program initiated by Partner Alliance department. As a top candidate, you should have a desire to learn and analyze all matters around Partnership such as Principal vs Agent, royalty and cost to obtain transactions using your understanding of revenue recognition (ASC 606.) In this role you will have full ownership of our company’s royalty and cost to obtain accounting processes. You will collaborate on a real-time basis with our Partner Alliance, FP&A, Sales Operations, Internal and External audit teams. The expectation will be that you along with the Revenue Supervisor are the Subject Matter Experts on the team.
