Position Overview
The Manufacturing Engineer - Factory Development plays a critical role in advancing our manufacturing capabilities through strategic project management, system building, and innovative problem-solving. This individual is tasked with identifying and tackling high-priority operational and technical challenges, deploying systematic solutions, and driving the introduction of new processes and assets to support rapid scaling of production. This role demands a combination of technical expertise, project management acumen, and an unwavering commitment to uncovering true, pragmatic solutions that address the root of problems.
Key Responsibilities- Design for Manufacturability Review - Complete a technical review of project manufacturability data including CAD models, technical drawings, quality documents, and technical specifications. Requires familiarity with metallic material properties, common aerospace finishing processes, quality control, geometric dimension and tolerancing.
- Project Execution Maintain -compliance with project and program schedules. Provide technical information required to deliver current manufacturing review projects on-time, on-budget and to spec. Work with engineers on the machining, inspection, software, supply chain teams to deliver customer hardware.
- Client Communication Communicate - design for manufacturability considerations clearly and professionally to Hadrian’s clients. Provide design engineers with cost engineering considerations, machinability and quality optimizations, and manufacturing timeline reviews. Prepare project cost proposals and complete design for manufacturability reports.
- Help Hadrian utilize modern software and manufacturing tools to deliver critical aerospace and defense hardware to America’s industry.
Minimum Qualifications- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering with exposure to manufacturing.Experience with CAD and CAM packages (Solidworks, NX, Fusion, etc).
- Familiarity with principles of GD&T, metrology, mechanical properties of materials, and common surface finishing technologies.
- Experience managing delivery and schedule requirements of software or hardware development projects.
- Ability to communicate with technical stakeholders on other engineering teams at Hadrian proficiently and professionally.
- Demonstrated ability to solve deep technical or operational problems.
Preferred qualifications- Demonstrated experience with Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Experience applying software approaches (SQL, VBA, Python, etc.) is a plus.

$90,000 - $150,000 a year
For this role, the target salary range is $90,000 - $150,000 (actual range may vary based on experience).
This is the lowest to highest salary we reasonably and in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. An employee's pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.
