Please note that this role will be based in either Berlin or Hamburg. 

As a Strategy & Planning Manager for Region Central Europe, you will drive Customer Activation & Marketing’s success by overseeing strategic marketing plans that align with company objectives and fuel growth. Using your expertise in brand, media, channel planning, and loyalty programs, you’ll ensure all marketing activities adhere to the global strategy.

Key responsibilities are:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, analyze market trends, and leverage consumer & customer insights to create data-driven marketing plans that deliver impactful results across the Region.
  • Lead the development of comprehensive marketing strategies based on the Global Framework that align with the company's overall business objectives.
  • Identify key target audiences and segments and develop marketing plans to reach and engage them effectively.
  • Create an overall customer plan for the Region and Sales Markets that encompasses all stages of the consumer relationship phases, from attracting new customers through to developing our most valuable customers. This plan should consider all customer touch points and be designed to maximize customer engagement and satisfaction.
  • Oversee the overall media budget, in collaboration with the Media Manager, allocating effectively to different campaigns and activities.
  • Work closely with the Omni Sales Team departments to align marketing efforts with overall business goals, fostering and being a role model for a collaborative approach.
  • Lead a team of experts in various areas, such as paid media (brand & performance), owned media, CRM & loyalty program, and key city program management. Your role is at the center of customer & commercial planning, and you are responsible for achieving results, based on set KPIs.

Qualifications

As a Strategy & Planning Manager, you have excellent communication and presentation skills, with a proven ability to effectively share marketing plans and results with stakeholders. Furthermore, you are a strategic thinker who naturally aligns marketing initiatives with broader business goals, driving cohesive and impactful outcomes. You are a capable leader who knows how to manage and inspire a team, fostering a collaborative and positive work environment. And finally, you are detail-oriented, with a talent for managing multiple projects and deadlines to ensure timely and high-quality results across all efforts.

What you need to succeed:

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business administration, or a related field. An advanced degree or relevant certifications are advantageous.
  • Proven experience (10+ years) in marketing, with a focus on marketing strategy and planning.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to translate data into actionable marketing strategies.
  • Experience in developing and executing successful marketing campaigns across various channels.
  • Proficiency in marketing analytics, market research, and budget management.
  • Experience in creating and maintaining strong working relationships with people from different business functions.
  • Experience in developing marketing plans across all channels - traditional/digital.
  • Experience with loyalty program management.
  • Meriting competence within digital/tech and omni ways of working.

Additional Information

This is a fulltime position, starting on the 1st of January 2025. The role is a hybrid role, based in Berlin or Hamburg (preferably Berlin) with the expectation of working from one of our offices for three days per week.
