What you'll do:
This is a role for a hardware engineer who is eager to contribute to a small, fast-paced team that is developing cutting-edge solutions to a growing market. We have a need for an individual to test, assemble and integrate cutting edge RF Environment Stimulation systems. The ideal candidate will have experience testing RF components and assembling multi-rack RF systems. You’ll work closely with the system engineers to integrate large, modern, complex RF systems.
The day-to-day:
You’ll play a key role in the integration of cutting-edge RF Environment Generation Stimulators to DoD, commercial and civilian aviation customers. You’ll perform board level testing of complex RF components. You’ll assemble and test large, multi-rack RF stimulators as well as assembling and testing small, complex commercial RF products. You will initially be mentored by the senior hardware engineers but expected to grow into a self-sufficient role. You may be expected to contribute to the design of complex RF boards and components. This role provides an opportunity to work with the latest technologies, with the challenge of integrating with some of the most modern aviation systems in the world.
What you'll need:
- 5+ Years experience as a hardware engineer

Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience

Experience testing RF boards and RF components.

Ability to assemble large, multi-rack RF systems.

Meticulous assembly and testing skills.
-
Proficient with test equipment – oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, etc.

Work with technology suppliers and subcontractors

General understanding of the supply chain process

The ability to prioritize tasks, meet schedule and see a program to completion.

Strong organizational skills and ability to work with system, hardware, and firmware teams.

Able to receive a US SECRET-SAR / TS-SCI

Up to 10% travel

Salary range: $120,950.00 - $199,450.00 / annually : At Viasat, we consider many factors when it comes to compensation, including the scope of the position as well as your background and experience.
