Hardware Support Specialist

Position Overview:


Ensures technical support and service technicians and professional service have the detailed product understanding necessary to deliver high levels of product-specific support for DN customers. Provides guidance on current processes and products, directing process improvements and ensuring consistent delivery of quality solutions for customers. Works with R&D and product development, ensuring that service requirements inform product design, enhancement or new development.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Gains familiarity with Product Support concepts, practices and methodologies.
  • With guidance, performs standard Product Support duties, including:
    • Working with senior team members to understand customer identified product issues and problems,
    • Troubleshooting problems (e.g., with customer configuration, company software or other integration points),
    • Assisting with customer and/or technician training and supporting material development,
    • Identifying / resolving issues that prevent customers from getting full value from the company’s products,
    • Ensuring proper follow-up with customers and internal service providers.
  • Learns and complies with the company’s Product Support and related case management policies and procedures.
  • Assists with special projects as assigned Provides knowledge to product- and solution support specialists of PS and Service globally (e.g. service bulletins, Train-the-Trainer input).
Required Qualifications:
  • BA/BS degree and 0-2 years’ relevant experience OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
  • Ability to report to N. Canton Ohio office, as needed.
