We want you to apply!Job Summary and QualificationsProvide technical skills that cover a broad range of disciplines and/or a particular technical discipline that is of significance to HCA. Design and implement system architecture, perform technical project work assigned with minimal supervision. Identify, investigate, evaluate and become proficient in new technologies and technical disciplines that are of significance to HCA Healthcare.Work on the System Design and Implementation team to devise and deliver projects based on stakeholder needs. Strong analytical and system design ability, high degree of creativity, logic, strong troubleshooting and innovation ability. In depth knowledge of the business implications of technical approaches, directions and solutions. Ability to innovate in complex technical areas, ability to achieve results, advanced project planning and coordination skills, and superior communication skills.Specific responsibilities include understanding project needs, designing architecture, implementing processes and systems via Ansible, Jenkins, Python, PowerShell, and Bash, on both Linux (RHEL) and Windows environments. Communicating project statuses to stakeholders. Troubleshoot, identify and implement improvements, assist and advise in disaster recovery planning from component failures standpoint of supported systems and provide operational analysis of root cause and system trends. Every process, technology and decision matters.GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES• Coordinate with external vendor to receive EMR software, communicate with internal stakeholders to deliver software to various environments through delivery pipeline. Meet with internal stakeholders to understand scope and timeline of new projects, devise architecture and implementation plan, document and deliver.• Requires in depth knowledge of supported operating systems, utilities, vendor products, applicable programming languages, diagnostic techniques, database management systems, benchmarking methodologies, applicable communications protocols, applicable hardware configurations, use of statistical and analytical tools for system monitoring and evaluation. In depth knowledge of technology, network, data and applications architectures. Ability to communicate with various levels and types of end users is also required.• Maintain frequent interaction with internal and vendor technical staffs and project managers to ensure effective delivery of solutions in accordance with project timelines and associated budgets.• Assist with the installation and configuration of all supporting software and hardware in a lab environment in order to assure a sound deployment basis for production implementations.• Troubleshoot and resolve critical system issues and provide root cause analysis.AREA OF EXPERIENCE• Must have 4+ years’ experience in deploying technically complex infrastructure solutions across various platforms in development, QA, and production environments.• Ability to write scripts with Python, PowerShell, Bash, or C#, utilizing code repository technology such as Git.• Experience with DevOps automation and pipelines, solution delivery through tools like Ansible, Chef, or Puppet, implemented via job scheduling tools such as Jenkins.• Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, and GCP.• OS platform knowledge with Windows Server and Red Hat Enterprise Linux.• Webserver experience with software like Apache Tomcat, Nginx, or Windows IIS.• Familiarity and experience with relational databases such as SQL Server, and MySQL.• Ability to work with DBAs and understand their requirements is necessary.• Experience with deployment, support, and troubleshooting of n-tier applications.• Knowledge of load balancing, SSL/TLS, DNS routing, and TCP based applications.• Ability to provide technical documentation necessary for operational handoff.• Experience with key/value and secret stores such as Consul, Vault, or Azure Key Vault.• Experience with virtual technology, such as, VMWare ESX, Hyper-V, hyperconverged platforms, and private cloud technologies is highly desirable.• Proven track record of project delivery results.• Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively are essential.• Working knowledge and experience with key ITIL processes is required.• Experience with application performance monitoring, operational analytics, and configuration management tools such as Splunk, Dynatrace, and Aternity.• Previous experience with application development coding, debugging, testing and delivery into a production environment is highly desirable.• A solid understanding of performance metrics and tools is highly desirable, to include understanding of CPU utilization levels, memory consumption, CPU and disk queuing, I/O response times, and other key performance indicators and their impact on performance.YEARS OF EXPERIENCE• More than 7 yearsCERTIFICATIONS• Preferred certification in one or more of the following: MCP, MCSE, MCSA,VCP, RH, ITIL, CSA, RHCE, Linux+ , AWS, AzureEDUCATION• College degree preferredSPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS• Capable of working effectively under a high pressure and demanding work environment.• Capable of working effectively in a diverse, virtual team oriented environment.• Must be a self-starter and work effectively with minimal supervision.• Must be customer-oriented and recognize the importance of customer service and meeting service level commitments.• Must be committed to quality and timeliness of assigned deliverables and milestones.PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORKING CONDITIONS• Some after-hours work will be required occasionally.• Possible prolonged sitting at workstation.HCA Healthcare has been recognized as one of the Worlds Most Ethical Companies® by the Ethisphere Institute more than ten times.
