Job Summary And Qualifications The Trauma Performance Improvement (PI) Coordinator works with trauma program leadership to coordinate all aspects of the department’s Performance Improvement and Patient Safety (PIPS) Program. The PI Coordinator will review the continuum of care to determine compliance with practice management guidelines, policies and procedures, and established standards of care. What You Will Do In This Role: • Assist in the development, implementation and evaluation of the Trauma Performance Improvement and Patient Safety Plan. • Maintain the Trauma PI database to ensure adequate documentation as required by regulatory agencies. • Complete concurrent review of cases to identify quality, timelines and systems of care to meet state standards. • Participate in hospital education programs for nurses and resident physicians caring for trauma patients. • Serve as a liaison to the clinical areas responsible for trauma patients. • Coordinate multidisciplinary monthly Trauma Systems & Operations Committee and Peer Review meetings. What Qualifications You Will Need: • Advanced Cardiac Life Spt must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date • Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date • PALS Pediatric Adv Life Supt must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date • Minimum of 2-years Emergency Nursing or Intensive Care Nursing • Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing • BSN or ASN in Nursing Required • TNCC Required TriStar Summit is a 200 bed comprehensive facility. We serve Davidson, Wilson and surrounding counties. We include a Level III Trauma Center. We offer a full array of acute care services. These include cardiology, oncology, orthopedics/spine, rehabilitation and women’s services. We are an Accredited Chest Pain Center with PCI. We are a Primary Stroke Center.
