As the event industry ramps back up, this role will lead the delivery of outstanding events across a variety of formats for our most prestigious clients.
We’re looking for an outstanding Head of Client Event Delivery to manage and grow our Event Delivery team to design and deliver virtual and hybrid events for our clients.
You’ll be responsible for end-to-end design and delivery of our client’s in-person, hybrid and virtual events, and for developing strong professional relationships with them. You’ll be responsible for all aspects of design, planning, and on-the-day delivery, from speaker and delegate management, to managing the provision of AV. You will also resource manage a combination of full-time team members and contractors, including building processes to ensure this function can scale.
As an expert in your field, you’ll offer your expertise to help our clients design their events and our sales team to build a solution that will produce world-class results. This will include both direct presale client advice, and training for the sales team. You’ll also be responsible for closing the sales loop and ensuring that we are aware of client’s event programmes going forward, driving repeat business for the clients Hire Space is working with.
You will need experience in delivering in-person, hybrid and virtual events, and in managing a team to achieve to deliver a large number of events for a diverse variety of clients. Those who you have worked with should consider you a thought leader in-person, hybrid and virtual event design.

- End-to-end management or delivery of in-person and hybrid/virtual events for our client, through our in-house event team and contractors as required.

Full responsibility for the P&L of all events we deliver

Consult and collaborate to develop creative solutions to achieve our client’s objectives through in-person and hybrid/virtual events

Management of budgets, staffing, event design, technology selection - using Hire Space technologies where possible.

Manage and ensure SLA’s (Service Level Agreements) are monitored and achieved throughout the event development process

Managing our most high-profile key client relationship, alongside the event manager delivering each event

Implementation of post-event feedback cycle to that we are continuously improving delivery of events for our clients

Resource management of our event manager's time to ensure that all roles and responsibilities are covered and all team members are well briefed in advance of the event

Working closely with our Live Stream Production team as required to ensure that more sophisticated live streams run flawlessly. While you will not be running these, you should be able to challenge and question their setup decisions

Putting systems in place for risk management, including both technical risks and on-site health and safety.

Occasional travel to key client sites

Working with the sales team to help generate an accurate estimate of time and costs for events, as well as to develop their understanding of event design and upselling opportunities
- You have proven experience as a successful events manager

You have experience building positive relationships with clients, and transforming those relationships into new business opportunities

You have experience building accounts working back-to-back with a sales team.

Have excellent written and verbal communication skills

Have experience leading an events team, including managing the time of others, providing structure and check-ins to ensure all team members deliver to a high standard

Are experienced in managing high-pressure situations and are able to operate at a high level under these circumstances

Have delivered some virtual events previously, including webinars, webcasts and virtual parties or conferences

Are highly organized with excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks and meet strict deadlines with a flawless attention to detail

Are technically minded and able to learn how to use new tools with relative ease

Are solution orientated and a problem solver who is able to independently offer solutions to problems as they arise

Are helpful, collaborative and supportive of others in the team around you to allow the company and team to achieve its goals
- You have more than 3 years’ experience of working within a similar role
- You have more than 3 years’ agency experience
- This is a hybrid remote / in-person role. You may be required to work from our Central London office location from time to time. Currently, we work from the office as a team one day a week (non-compulsory) and give the flexible option of WFH or at a variety of coworking locations on other days. This allocation may change over time, but as this is a part-time role you will be given more flexability than most full-time employees in this. You should always be somewhere that operates on UK time.

Our client base is predominantly in London and you will be required to visit client sites from time to time and attend our quarterly away days in-person.
