About the role

As Fresco’s Head of Content, you will lead our content strategy and help position us and our partners as the go-to resource for high quality recipes. Your primary goal will be to grow the Fresco platform recipe catalogue. You will do this by leading our in-house content team and by helping us build a community of recipe creators.

The successful candidate for the role will be obsessed with food; both creative and analytical; and enjoy collaborating with many different specialisms. You will be responsible for the relevancy and efficiency of the recipe catalog as a whole as well as helping us maintain our leading role as innovators in the smart kitchen space.

Your responsibilities

• Devise and execute our content strategy with the core aim of expanding the size and quality of our recipe catalog across the Fresco platform.
• Lead, manage and mentor our in-house content team (currently three people)
• Through measurement and analysis, manage the performance of the recipe catalog and identity and execute upon opportunities to drive customer engagement and retention.
• Work with the content team to ensure that all recipes that get published in the Fresco app live up to our users’ high expectations.
• Set appliance partners up for success by ensuring best practices are shared and appropriate support is managed.
• Partner with our Product, Design, Tech and AI teams on various content and recipe development projects.
• Help us build a community of recipe creators who will help grow our partners' content capabilities.
• Work closely with our marketing team by helping them distribute our recipe catalog across email, push notifications, in-app, social and web.
• Ensure that our recipe catalog is aligned with our brand guidelines at all times.

Your skills

• A strong passion for cooking and food. You’re someone with a deep knowledge about food trends, cooking techniques, kitchen appliances, cookbooks, chefs, viral recipes, food photography and styling, seasonal ingredients, diets, nutrition, flavor pairings, and more.
• An entrepreneurial spirit, capable of working in a startup environment where there will be ambiguity and where you will need to establish new processes.
• Outstanding communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• You understand the benefit of data driven approaches to catalog management, customer feedback loops and the importance of high quality underlying reference data such as ingredient databases
• A positive attitude and growth mindset with the ability to mentor and develop a team.

Your experience

• 4+ years experience working as a recipe content creator either for yourself through your own online blog, or through a major publisher or other Food tech company.
• In-depth knowledge of how audiences consume recipe content and the best ways to bundle and distribute content
• Experience of building and nurturing communities or working with food Influencers.
• Experience working with data, and ability to interpret the usage and impact of recipe content.

Within the first 3 months you will….

• Review the existing content strategy and identify opportunities to accelerate performance.
• Determined the content teams future capability needs
• Establish the key content KPI targets
• You will help scale the number of recipe content creators contributing to the Fresco platform.
