We are seeking a Head of Corporate Communications & PR who will be responsible to manage and execute the organization's communications and public relations strategies. You will play a crucial role in building, maintaining, and enhancing the company's reputation and image in the public eye, both internally and externally. This senior leadership position involves collaborating with various teams, including marketing, executive management, and other departments, to ensure consistency in messaging and positioning.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and Implement Communication Strategies: Create comprehensive communication and PR strategies that align with the organization's goals and target audience. These strategies should cover both external and internal communications, ensuring consistent messaging across all channels.
  • Media Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with journalists, media outlets, and influencers. Proactively pitch story ideas and press releases to secure positive media coverage for the company.
  • Crisis Management: Develop crisis communication plans and act as the main point of contact during emergencies or reputation-threatening situations. Respond promptly and effectively to mitigate potential negative impacts.
  • Corporate Messaging: Craft key messages and talking points that resonate with stakeholders, including customers, investors, employees, and the public. Ensure these messages are conveyed accurately and consistently throughout all communication channels.
  • Brand Management: Safeguard the company's brand identity and reputation. Work with marketing and creative teams to ensure consistent branding and messaging in all external communications.
  • Executive Communications: Provide support to the executive team in preparing speeches, presentations, and talking points for media interviews and public appearances.
  • Content Creation: Collaborate with content creators to develop compelling content for press releases, articles, blog posts, social media, and other communication materials.
  • Monitoring and Analysis: Keep track of media coverage, industry trends, and public sentiment related to the company. Analyze data to measure the effectiveness of communication strategies and make data-driven improvements.
  • Budget Management: Manage the PR and communications budget effectively, allocating resources to projects that yield the highest impact.
  • Community Engagement: Identify opportunities for community involvement and corporate social responsibility initiatives to enhance the company's reputation and build goodwill.
  • Stakeholder Relations: Cultivate relationships with external stakeholders, including government officials, industry associations, and relevant organizations.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field
  • Proven experience (typically 8+ years) in corporate communications and PR, with a track record of successful media relations and crisis management
  • Experience in SaaS or AI preferred
  • Experience in various communication channels, including traditional media, digital media, and social media platforms
  • Experience working with journalists and managing relationships with public relations agencies, key influencers, leading industry analysts and firms
  • Knowledge of industry best practices, emerging trends, and innovative PR techniques
  • Experience developing content including op-eds, blogs and talking points
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to align communication initiatives with organizational goals
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and senior executives
  • High level of professionalism and the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
  • Strong leadership and management abilities as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills
