Caravelo is a travel-tech company with a global team and roots in Barcelona. We specialize in creating SaaS solutions for subscriptions, chatbots and tools that help airlines create a better customer experience and increase revenue.

The mission

As the Head of People, you will be leading the Talent Acquisition, People & Culture, People Operations and Strategy. In particular. elevating our company values to shape a positive culture and working environment. You will work in close collaboration with C-level and Leadership, to develop and implement strategies, put in place the minimal processes, and monitor their effectiveness in the transformation of the company from startup to scaleup.

Duties and responsibilities

• Implement and develop a CVO way of doing things, while promoting corporate values and shaping a positive working environment
• Advise management in appropriate resolution of employee relations issues and nurture a positive culture
• Measure employee engagement and satisfaction and propose actions to constantly improve
• Manging the Onboarding and Offboarding processes.
• Implement a strategic and pragmatic vision of the global talent market: analyze trends in compensation, benefits, and other key variables to ensure the organization attracts and retains top talent
• Improve the hiring and talent acquisition program.
• Managing the contracts with People Ops suppliers to provide employee services, such as temporary employees, search firms, or relocation services

Required skills and experience

• 5+ years of experience working in a similar role (HR Manager, Director, etc)
• Experience with working in a scale-up company (team between 50 to 100 employees)
• A relationship-builder on all levels (managers and employees)
• Able to motivate people, even in difficult circumstances
• Driven and not afraid to challenge and speak up
• Used to work under pressure and able to keep an overview and set priorities
• Fluent in both Spanish and English!
• Experience with working in an international (matrix) company
