Role and Responsibilities

This is an exciting opportunity to join Block Renovation in a leadership role within the growth organization as the National Sales Director. We are looking for an individual with experience in scaling a lean and goal oriented sales organization. This role will manage teams of both inside sales representatives (SDRs) and project planners (AEs) across multiple markets.

We’re looking for a strategic self-starter that can hit the ground running managing a high volume of leads. It will be your responsibility to work in partnership with the existing leadership to identify strategies to improve the team’s performance with a goal of generating consistent success month over month. The ideal candidate is passionate about building a high-performing team that takes pride in sales.

  • Build a high-performance sales organization driving consistent and predictable revenue growth
  • In partnership with the Chief Growth Officer, set the overall vision and strategic plan for the team driving revenue growth through lead acquisition
  • Develop weekly/monthly/quarterly/annual targets for the sales team and take responsibility over the team’s performance against those targets
  • Identify growth opportunities and product improvements to inform the go-to-market strategies and the evolution of Block’s product in existing markets
  • Work with cross-functional leaders to surface and address challenges impacting the team’s success
  • Have a deep understanding of the entire consumer journey (homeowners and contractors) and serve as the voice of the consumer for the business
  • Focus on enabling your managers to effectively coach their teams to success and support their professional development and growth paths
  • Understand and utilize sales data to inform decision making
  • Hire and retain a best-in-class sales team and evolve the organizational structure as needed
  • Own the sales compensation planning to reward performance and retain talent, while prioritizing the business’ needs
  • Increase revenue generation by driving sales methodology and tool adoption within team while developing metrics to measure improvements

Qualifications

  • You have 10+ years of experience in tech sales/account management with 6+ years of sales leadership experience
  • You are passionate about sales and building teams with a track record of hiring, coaching and exceeding targets
  • You foster growth within your teams and encourage feedback, debate and information sharing
  • You believe in doing the tasks you ask of others and will jump right into a sales call to learn and empathize with your team and the consumer
  • Experience effectively developing, communicating, and implementing complex plans, strategies, and tactics
  • Effective prioritization and organizational skills with the ability to manage and deliver multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Strong analytical skills with a deep knowledge of sales metrics and the levers that drive those metrics
