NEXT's mission is to help entrepreneurs thrive. We're doing that by building the only technology-led, full-stack provider of small business insurance in the industry, taking on the entire value chain and transforming the customer experience.

Simply put, wherever you find small businesses, you'll find NEXT.

Since 2016, we've helped hundreds of thousands of small business customers across the United States get fast, customized and affordable coverage. We're backed by industry leaders in insurance and tech, and we still have room to grow — that's where you come in.

We are looking for a Head of Total Rewards to help us attract, retain, and motivate the best talent by providing analysis, consultation, and insight for compensation and total rewards-related matters. As the Head of Total Rewards, you will revamp and refresh our compensation philosophy and process, with a focus on executive compensation. Reporting to the VP of People, you will lead a total rewards team and play a critical role in delivering our promise to be the best place to work.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams in creating a best-in-class compensation philosophy
  • Lead the ongoing evolution of our compensation approach to match the ever-changing competitive landscape and ensure Next can attract and retain the right talent
  • Drive strategies that ensure competitive positioning of our compensation bands, employee benefit plans and programs
  • Provide guidance and best practices to manager ever evolving Federal and State HR compliance requirements
  • Lead a team responsible for managing employee benefits and compensation administration
  • Implement solutions to simplify and modernize our compensation evaluation processes

What We Need

  • Bachelor's degree, MBA or Masters preferred
  • 10+ years experience leading compensation/total rewards at a high-growth tech company or compensation firm
  • Experience refreshing and revamping executive compensation bands
  • Visionary and strategic with a focus on execution. You are able to balance the high-level with the details and excel in an ambiguous environment
  • Public company experience/IPO readiness a plus

You may be just the right candidate for this or other roles.
