What is your impact?
The Health Promotions and Wellness Specialist provides support and leadership for the continued growth and development of the Health Promotion and Wellness program. The function is to provide support in the acquisition of new sales and in the retention of current strategic accounts.

What are your key responsibilities?
  • Act as a Consultant in managing and supporting the accounts in the Health Promotion and Wellness Program
  • Support the Sales team in acquiring new accounts and retention of existing accounts with participation in meetings with the agents and accounts, leading the discussion and explaining the Wellness Program
  • Work closely with the sales staff regarding program approval, delivery of program to the account and ongoing support to the account to meet Health Promotion goals
  • Assist in developing materials and conducting training modules to educate sales staff, agents and members
  • Identify and implement changes that support the continuous improvement of the programs’ components, processes, and tools
  • Manage vendor relationships
  • Utilize organizational surveys to assess the health and wellness program of the account, offering recommendations and suggestions to assist in the growth of their program
  • Support accounts in the development and implementation and of a Worksite Wellness Strategic Plan focusing on key Health Promotion industry benchmarks to create and sustain a successful results-oriented worksite program
  • Develop a group specific strategy to improve overall health and wellness of the employees
  • Organize and facilitate health screenings/assessments with employer accounts

What is required?
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, health education, public/community health and/or equivalent work experience
  • 4+ years related work experience with health promotions and wellness programs, insurance, or sales
  • Program management experience
  • Experience with building/maintaining relationships with and influencing internal/external business partners and/or customers, thorough knowledge of the healthcare industry, broad business acumen and product knowledge
  • Proven ability to present in group settings and with varied levels of leadership
  • Experience in getting things done through collaboration in cross-functional, interdepartmental teams.
  • Frequent travel to attend meetings, events, etc. including some overnight stays
  • Valid driver’s license: Motor vehicle driving history will be reviewed
  • Must maintain required car insurance on personal vehicle as a regular driver

What is preferred?
  • Experience with working effectively in a group/team setting as well as providing highly sophisticated skills as an individual contributor to deliver business results
  • Experience with setting clear, actionable objectives and being able to package results and present ideas
  • Experience working with business partners that include presentation of ideas, negotiation, problem solving and facilitation of programs
  • Hands on experience in health promotions and wellness
  • Certification in health education and/or workplace wellness (e.g., CHES, WELCOA Well Workplace Certification, WellCert Certification, National Wellness Institute's Certified Wellness Practitioner, etc.)
  • Bilingual language skills (Spanish/English) is a plus

General Physical Demands:
Sedentary work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally to move objects. Jobs are sedentary if traversing activities are required only occasionally.

Annualized Salary Range: $61,000 - $99,100
Typical Annualized Hiring Range: $61,000 - $76,200

Final pay will be determined with consideration of market competitiveness, internal equity, and the job-related knowledge, skills, training, and experience you bring.
