Job Summary: Responsible for obtaining and documenting necessary medical history, as well as performing ophthalmic testing as needed or requested by physician. Maintaining efficient business functions for optimal daily operations of the clinic.
Certifications/Licensures: Preferred COA, but not required. (We will help you get certified if you aren't already).
Experience: Preferred 2 years previous ophthalmic or optometric patient care or medical office, but we are willing to train the right candidate without this experience.
Education:High School diploma or equivalent/Preferred associate degree
Job Duties Include:
Patient workups – obtain and document exam information, perform testing prior to the exam
Special testing as ordered by Physician
Return patient phone calls
Scribing for the doctor(s)
Report completion
Protects patients' rights by maintaining the confidentiality of personal and financial information.
Maintains operations by following policies and procedures; reporting needed changes.
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
