This position is responsible for processing the company Payroll, consisting of both weekly and biweekly cycles, for several multi-state facilities, working under tight time constraints. Maintains records of hours worked, time off, rate changes, retroactive pay, tax information, address changes, and related benefits deductions. Processes timesheets on a weekly basis, verifies accruals, calculates overtime, and updates information into the system, ensuring hours and schedules are correct. Analyzes new hires and employee changes that are passed into payroll from Workday.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:• Responsible for processing the company Payroll, consisting of both weekly and biweekly cycles, for several multi-state facilities, working under tight time constraints.• Review Workday Time on a weekly basis to ensure the accuracy of approved timecards.• Review all new hires, employee data changes and related benefit deductions that are passed into payroll from Workday for accuracy. Process retroactive pay when needed.• Process special payments, including commissions and bonuses, as appropriate.• Reconcile payroll prior to transmission and validate confirmed reports.• Review payroll reports post processing to determine required funding liability and prepare funding reports comprised of taxes, cash, direct deposit and various voluntary benefit deductions for Treasury Department on a weekly basis.• Assist in the year-end W2 reconciliation for distribution.• Work with HRIS team to ensure accurate records.• Participates in special projects and perform other duties as required.• Manage the Payroll inbox and respond to all payroll-related questions in a timely manner.SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:• Focus on internal and external customer service.• Familiarity with ADP or comparable Payroll applications.• Good understanding of Payroll policies and procedures.• Thorough understanding of multi-state payrolls.• Understand proper taxation of employer paid benefits.• Ability to download reports and import files.GENERAL SKILLS & COMPETENCIES:• Strong time management skills and the ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines• Very good attention to detail and accuracy• Customer service oriented and the ability to work with complex issues• Ability to plan and arrange activities• Very good interpersonal communication skills• Very good written and verbal communication skills• Ability to maintain confidential and highly sensitive information• Ability to work in a team environment• Ability to multi-task• Ability to manage conflict• Capacity to work effectively under pressure• Establish productive working relationships at multiple levels within the organizationMINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE:Typically 3 or more years of related experience.PREFERRED EDUCATION:Typically High School education, vocational training and/or on-the-job training. Bachelor’s degree preferred.TRAVEL / PHYSICAL DEMANDS:Travel typically less than 10%. Office environment. No special physical demands required.The posted range for this position is $36,360-$63,630 which is the expected starting base salary range for an employee who is new to the role to fully proficient in the role.
