Summary:


Highland Electric Fleets is seeking an experienced and talented Principal Full Stack Developer to join our dynamic team. Our ideal candidate will be self-motivated, adaptive, confident, and thrive on making a difference. This role provides an excellent opportunity for a motivated candidate who wants to make an impact while learning new skills.


The ideal candidate will be responsible for architecting, designing, developing, and maintaining our web applications' front-end and back-end. In addition, this role will help design and implement enterprise software, services, and reporting.


As a Principal Full Stack Developer, you will play a pivotal role in crafting our enterprise and web applications, creating user-friendly interfaces, implementing robust APIs, driving automation, and contributing to the overall architecture of our software solutions. You will also support existing enterprise applications and seek automation opportunities throughout the business. This hands-on development role will require architecture, design, implementation, and execution to be highly efficient and high-quality.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and understand project requirements, objectives, and specifications.
  • Design, develop, and deploy scalable, responsive, visually appealing web and mobile applications focusing on user experience.
  • Lead the planning and execution of software development projects, adhering to timelines and delivering high-quality results.
  • Implement and manage databases, including creating schemas, optimizing queries, and ensuring data integrity.
  • Provide oversight for enterprise architecture and data design.
  • Provide end-user support for new and existing applications.
  • Automate tasks through appropriate tools and scripting.
  • Review, monitor, and debug code.
  • Perform validation and verification testing.
  • Work with stakeholders to gather requirements.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to fix and improve processes.
  • Mentor team members on design, execution, security, and development best practices.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, technologies, and best practices in web development and contribute ideas to enhance team productivity and software quality.


Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in information systems and at least ten years of development experience
  • Advanced technical understanding of software, hardware, networks, and security
  • Architecture experience with designing complex software and database implementations
  • Must have legal authority to work in the U.S. permanently


Desired Qualifications:
  • Experience with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
  • Experience with C#, .NET Framework, .NET Core
  • Knowledge of Relational Databases such as SQL
  • Experience with SaaS data warehousing tools
  • Experience with Swift
  • Familiarity with MVC (Model-View-Controller) Design Pattern a plus
  • Knowledge of Git Version Control and agile development methodologies a plus
  • Advanced degrees and certifications in development, security, and project management a plus
  • Experience working in a lean/start-up environment a plus
