Social Media Assistant

Highsnobiety is looking for a Social Media Assistant to manage our Twitter account and socials across our brand. The ideal candidate is creative, motivated, and has strong knowledge of social media platforms. As Social Media Assistant, you will work directly with the Social Media Team to help create highly engaging social content tailored for Highsnobiety’s audience. This is your opportunity to gain exposure across a wide array of responsibilities - from creative & brand strategy to content creation and communication.

YOUR MISSION:

• Manage HS Twitter account, creating original posts promoting our features, articles, and live event coverage,  and sourcing best-in class content to grow engagement on the platforms.
• Maintain relevant conversations with followers through meaningful engagement in comments and reposts. 
• Support social team in testing and building out Highsnobiety’s presence on Threads 
• Oversee scheduling on Facebook (using a third party tool) and occasionally packaging up features for optimization on the platform.
• Fulfill assignments from senior managers to create Instagram and TikTok content based on core Highsnobiety topics and priorities, including writing on-brand copy and scripts, producing content, and scheduling posts. 
• Curate posts on one of Highsnobiety’s secondary instagram accounts 
• Fulfill administrative requests for the social team on an adhoc basis 

YOUR SKILLS:

• 1+ year experience in role related to design, marketing, communication, media or culture
• Understanding of digital media landscape and how content is published and distributed
• Experience with and capable of setting the voice, tone, look, and feel of content
• Can-do attitude with an ability to embrace new challenges and ways of thinking
• A strong sense of what Highsnobiety represents. You should be plugged in to popular culture with awareness of the what’s going in in fashion, music and other elements of Highsnobiety’s landscape
• Must be local to NYC and authorized to work in the US
• Can come into our NY office 2-3x a week

The expected annual base salary range for this role is between $50,000 to $60,000. The range is based on many factors including location, experience, and relevant skill set. In addition to salary and an employee benefits package, successful candidates will be eligible for variable pay.
