About The Role 

Reporting to our Assistant Controller, we are looking for a Sr. Manager of Revenue to own all aspects of Highspot’s revenue accounting and order management function. This person will be responsible for establishing best practices in the order-to-cash cycle, supporting product and pricing initiatives, and ensuring that we recognize revenue accurately according to GAAP. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, has a passion for building processes and automation, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.



What You’ll Do
  • Own our revenue policy for all revenue streams and be the subject-matter expert to advise on accounting implications of non-standard financial terms and modifications on sales. 
  • Create partnership with cross functional leadership to keep abreast of business priorities including deal structure and accurate revenue forecasting.
  • Review product and pricing initiatives with cross-functional departments to advise on revenue implications and support the establishment of best practices.
  • Manage the revenue accounting and order-to-cash month-end close process, including review of account reconciliations, journal entries, variance analyses and other review procedures for accurate and complete financial recording. 
  • Manage sales tax compliance and filing requirements. 
  • Evolve and grow the team to support company needs around revenue accounting, order operations, billing and collections. 
  • Assess and execute on process and system enhancements to meet month-end close deadlines.
  • Lead or assist in projects as needed (e.g. system implementations, compliance, audit)


Your Background
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Accounting/Finance, or equivalent technical degree
  • 10+ years of accounting experience, including SaaS revenue recognition under ASC 606
  • SaaS company experience required - knowledge of SaaS subscription models, pricing and revenue recognition under ASC 606
  • Deep understanding of ASC 606 and ability to apply the guidance to various revenue types
  • Experience with Salesforce.com, NetSuite (including ARM) and CPQ tools
  • Strong knowledge of the Order-to-Cash cycle and driving process improvement and automation
  • Ability to identify, recommend, and implementation solutions for cross-functional process improvement and automation
  • Ability to work collaboratively with people at all levels of the organization and drive meaningful change while motivating a high-performing team and fostering a culture of integrity
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, communication skills, and ability to prioritize multiple deliverables 
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel and ability to summarize and financial data 
  • Mix of Big 4, industry experience and CPA preferred

Base salary range: $118,000 - $204,000. Employees are eligible to receive stock options and may also receive other forms of compensation.


The above represents total expected compensation for this role. Actual compensation will depend on various job-related factors, including, but not limited to, location, experience, and job qualifications.
