The selected Project Manager candidate will support MSO, managing and overseeing numerous HM&E (Hull, Mechanical, and Electrical) projects and provide expert solutions for shipboard alterations and installations in the accomplishment of fleet modernization. The selected candidate may be required to travel to shipyards and military bases located around the country and abroad when not assigned to a local project. Travel and lodging expenses are covered by the company. Per Diem provided based on location when on travel.Essential Job Responsibilities• Display high levels of quality, integrity, safety, respect, engagement, and performance consistent with company values.• Engage with planning and program performance while addressing cost, schedule, technical performance, and work package quality oversight. Support large system, development-type contract(s) to include full responsibility for all aspects of program performance on large delivery order or mid-size technical services-type contract(s).• Oversee and manage the operational aspects of ongoing HM&E projects and serve as liaison between customers, program management and line management.• Manage, oversee, schedule, and assign tasks efficiently to multiple jobs to meet production standards and schedules on various HM&E contracts through Naval Surface Warfare Center and Naval Air Warfare Center while maintaining budgetary constraints.• Ensure that projects are completed on schedule and within budget. Review status of projects and budgets. Prepare status reports, conduct briefings and participate in technical meetings for internal and external representatives concerning specific operations, scheduling, or phases of projects and contracts.• Develop and maintain engaging relationships with customer representatives and subcontractors for continued business growth.• Assess project issues and develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives.• Develop and maintain schedules for monitoring project progress, mitigation and problem solving with program managers, line managers, and clients.• Participatory production involvement only when required to assist in meeting schedule or to resolve technical or operational problems.• Develop, maintain, and use technical documents including controlled work packages, formal work processes and procedures, test documents, task and trip reports.• Take responsibility for the direct supervision and management of staff and provide objective-oriented direction to subordinates utilizing management guidelines and general policies.• Provide direction that supports accomplishment of organizational objectives.Minimum Qualifications• Candidates must have 6 years relevant progressive HM&E installation experience with Bachelors in related field; 4 years relevant progressive HM&E installation experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 10 years relevant progressive HM&E installation experience.• All candidates must have a minimum of 4 years' experience managing HM&E installations on US Navy Surface ships.• Experience working with the installation, maintenance and repair of shipboard systems is required.• Must have experience with and be proficient in reading and interpreting NAVSEA standards, HM&E blueprints, drawings, schematics, technical manuals, engineering sketches, charts, work order documentation, procedures, and practices required for naval installations.• Must have experience planning and estimating changes in scope of work via Conditions Found Reports (CFR).• Experience required in the oversight of projects and tasks assigned to the organizational group performed by non-exempt employees, exempt employees and/or a subcontracted workforce.• Must be proficient in the use of PCs and word processing, spreadsheet, presentation, desktop applications, and electronic mail programs.• Must be able to interface and communicate effectively with employees, customers, and management.• Must be able to follow and enforce safety procedures to ensure a safe and secure work environment.• Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD secret security clearance and maintain clearance level throughout employment.• Must be able to obtain base access credentials within 60 days of start date and maintain credentials throughout employment.• Must be a U.S. CitizenPreferred Requirements• Experience working on MACHALTs is highly preferred.• Candidates with an active Secret Clearance preferred.• Familiarity completing QA Workbooks and OQE is preferred.• Familiarity with RMMCO check-in process is a plus.• Possession of a current US Passport is a plus.Physical RequirementsMay be required to visit job site in an industrial or shipboard environment.
