About the Role: 

We are seeking an experienced Regulatory Compliance Counsel. This position offers a unique opportunity to manage and build our quality, regulatory, safety, and trust program in a cutting-edge healthcare AI environment. Reporting to the General Counsel, you will take the lead in building out our compliance function, including drafting and developing policies and SOPs. You’ll collaborate with our go-to-market (GTM) and customer success teams, directly impacting the way we address customer inquiries and regulatory compliance with agility and precision.

Responsibilities:

• Take ownership of drafting, refining, and managing compliance policies and SOPs that keep us ahead in healthcare AI.

• Be the trusted compliance advisor for our GTM and Customer Success teams, addressing inquiries with confidence and clarity.

• Provide strategic guidance on healthcare and AI-related regulations, including healthcare requirements (FDA/CMMS), privacy laws (HIPAA, CCPA), and AI governance, ensuring we maintain the highest compliance standard.

Qualifications

Must-Have:

• JD is required with licensure to practice law in California, coupled with at least 6-10 years in regulatory compliance roles, ideally in-house

• Solid understanding of healthcare-related regulatory frameworks (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO 13485, ISO 42001, HiTrust, NIST RMF, etc.)

• Knowledge of healthcare-related regulatory frameworks (e.g., ISO 9001, 13485, HiTrust, NIST RMF or ISO 42001)

• Proven ability to be a self-starter in a fast-paced environment

• Strong writing skills

• Experience working collaboratively with sales and GTM teams.

Nice-to-Have:

• Technical background, such as an engineering degree or related field.

• Previous experience in a startup environment, with the ability to move quickly and adapt to changing priorities.

• Previous experience in a healthcare technology company or SAAS environment

• Presentation and Public Speaking Skills: Comfort in presenting complex ideas clearly and confidently to diverse audiences, including senior leadership and external stakeholders.
