Solutions Engineer (Hybrid)

About the role

As a Solutions Engineer you will be responsible for driving technical scoping with new prospects as well as managing the technical integration of Hokodo with newly signed businesses. Your role is crucial to the long-term success of Hokodo as you help customers progress through the sales funnel and quickly realise the benefits of using Hokodo.

You will work cross-functionally with our Sales, Customer Success, Product, Engineering and Operations teams to provide the best customer experience throughout the customer lifecycle. 

Location

We would like you to work from our Paris, London or Vilnius office two days per week, joining our team of dedicated professionals and making your mark on the world of B2B e-commerce.

What you’ll be doing - If you get excited by the following, this is the role for you. 

As a Solution Engineer at Hokodo, you will have three main objectives: 

  • Pre-sales | Ensure accurate technical scoping for new prospects

    • Collaborate with our Sales Team to Showcase the Platform: Collaborate closely with our Product Marketing team to develop and deliver engaging demonstrations of our platform to potential clients during Sales calls. 

    • Analyse Technical Requirements and Design Effective Solutions: Analyse customer workflows and technical requirements, and devise effective solutions architecture to meet their needs.

    • Lead or Participate in Client Workshops and Pre-Sales Processes: Take part in or lead client workshops, trials, evaluations, proof of concepts, and other technical aspects of the pre-sales process.

  • Post-sales | Drive smooth and fast technical integrations for new customers

    • Ensure High-Quality Delivery and Optimisation: Collaborate closely with merchants and various Hokodo teams to ensure the successful delivery of projects and optimise integrations. This level of collaboration and attention to detail will foster strong, long-term relationships with our merchants, enhancing customer satisfaction and loyalty.

    • Technical Expertise Available: Act as a reliable technical advisor for our merchants throughout their integration with Hokodo, ensuring a smooth and high-quality integration process. Keep stakeholders updated on ongoing integrations and identify and address any issues, risks, or dependencies.

    • Document Integrated Solutions: Document the integrated solutions for merchants, including API endpoints used, SDKs utilised, customer journeys, and any special requirements or configurations.

  • Drive continuous improvement of Solution Engineering at Hokodo

    • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with teams across Sales, Legal, Customer Success, Engineering, and Product to enhance our integration process, making it more efficient and effective.

    • Contribute to Product and Engineering Roadmap: Leverage your interactions with merchants to provide valuable feedback that supports our product development efforts.

    • Establish Technical Standards: Establish technical standards to ensure the quality and reusability of our practices across integrations.

    • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

    • Excellent communication and presentation skills, particularly in conveying technical and business-related subjects.

    • Effective interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence others and manage stakeholders adeptly.

  • Your skills & experience

    • Full proficiency in English (French is a plus)

    • Prior experience in client-facing roles with B2B clients.

    • Experience in industries such as technology, software development, or other innovative sectors, showcasing eagerness and quick acquisition of technical competencies.

    • Familiarity with the ecommerce ecosystem, HTTP Methods, API Integration and knowledge of fulfilment operations.

    • Previous experience as a Solutions Engineer, Technical Sales, or Pre-Sales role for an API-based product is essential.

    • Possession of a quantitative or technical degree such as Computer Science, Engineering, or Mathematics.

  • Nice to haves

    • Programming languages like Python or JavaScript

    • Experience managing integrations with Magento or Shopify plug-ins

    • Additional language such as Spanish or German

  • Technical, Case Study and Demo interview with Sami, our CTO - 90 minutes - Video Call
