ABOUT HOLLYWOOD PARK

Hollywood Park, a near 300-acre sports and entertainment destination, is being developed by Los Angeles Rams Owner/Chairman E. Stanley Kroenke with the 70,000-seat SoFi Stadium as its centerpiece. Hollywood Park is the largest urban mixed-use mega development under construction in the Western United States. When complete, Hollywood Park will have up to 2,500 residences, a hotel, a retail district reaching up to 890,000 square feet, up to 5 million square feet of office space, and more than 25-acres of public parks and open space. 

Home to the Los Angeles Chargers and Super Bowl LVI Champion Los Angeles Rams, SoFi Stadium is the host of world-renowned sporting events, including Super Bowl LVI in 2022, College Football Playoff National Championship game 2023, WrestleMania 2023, World Cup 2026, and the Opening and Closing Ceremonies of the Olympics in 2028. Adjacent to the stadium and under the same roof canopy is a 2.5-acre open-air plaza, American Airlines Plaza, and the 6,000-seat YouTube Theater. YouTube Theater is an intimate venue, making it the perfect place for concerts, comedy, awards shows, esports competitions, community gatherings, conferences and more. 

THE INTERNSHIP

At Hollywood Park, our primary objective for this internship program is to foster emerging talent while developing future leaders of the sports and entertainment industry. This is a paid opportunity for undergraduate juniors, seniors, and recent graduates who share our passion for creating extraordinary experiences. Interns will work with specific departments at our offices in Inglewood, CA and immerse themselves in a behind-the-scenes experience. By participating in this program, individuals will gain knowledge of the business, establish meaningful connections, and explore exciting career opportunities.

Hollywood Park is in search of a highly motivated, organized, and enthusiastic individual who is interested in working within the heart of the sports and entertainment industry. As a Marketing Intern , you can expect to learn about the various facets of marketing from social media, digital marketing, event marketing and CRM/Email marketing , creating comprehensive marketing plans and recaps, research and data analytics as well as gain valuable, real-world experience in the sports and entertainment industry. Interns will gain firsthand experience in areas such as creating social posts, managing websites, and working events. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Participate in the ideation, creating and executing of a marketing plan - including insights on budgets, media buying and tracking data. 
  • Work as a member of the social media team by ideating and executing social campaigns across all our social platforms.
  • Content Capture. Grab images, videos that could be used and archived for future use.
  • Manage day-to-day website tasks.
  • Shadow and support Marketing Team at events - from social media to artist relations teams.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

  • Understand the fundamental cycle of the "life of event" - from announcement / presale + on sale / maintenance / day of event.
  • Understand the process of launching an event - website inclusion / social posts / Email campaigns to KBYG.
  • Learn to work with third-party partners, i.e. promoters, sponsorships, in implementing a marketing campaign.
  • Create a social media campaign - from start to end.
  • Create a digital marketing campaign - from start to end.
  • Media buying - how and when to buy media for an effective marketing campaign. 
  • Data analytics and how to best use this information. 
  • Become a resource for the department by being the stakeholder in researching new marketing trends. 
  • Working events - from start to end, to gain full insight and experience from pushing out content on socials, working with artist relations team. 

HOURS & DURATION

  • Part-time (25 to 30 hours per week); must be available to work at events, many of which occur on weekends and evenings, as directed by their immediate supervisors
  • Term: June 25 to December 17, 2024
  • Application due May 3, 2024

WE’D LOVE TO HEAR FROM PEOPLE WHO…

  • Currently enrolled in a college or university program as a junior, senior, or recently graduated
  • Pursuing a degree in Marketing, Music Industry, or similar area of study
  • Must be able to travel to the YouTube Theater and SoFi Stadium offices in Inglewood, CA at least 2-3 times per week
  • Candidates with the following skill sets will be given special considerations: 
    • Good work ethic
    • Attention to detail
    • Proficient with G-Suite, PowerPoint

Salary Range: $19-$20/hour

In compliance with the California Pay Transparency Act, compensation information provided is a good faith estimate for this position only. Hollywood Park considers a candidate’s education, certification, prior experience, as well as internal and external data when determining the salary level for potential new employees. Only in exceptional circumstances, if an external candidate has the experience, credentials, or expertise far exceeding what is expected for the position, would Hollywood Park consider paying a salary or rate near the higher end of the range.
