The Opportunity
As a Homelessness Technical Assistant, you will be responsible for working with communities and agencies to assess needs and develop and implement capacity building strategies to improve housing efforts related to reducing homelessness. You will assist communities to analyze data to identify disparities, make data informed decisions to advance equitable outcomes, and adopt policies and processes to support a more equitable homeless response system.
Core Responsibilities
1. Leading youth homelessness TA. Including work with Continuum of Cares (CoCs), community partners, and youth action boards (YABs).
2. Strengthening the TA team’s capacity to implement equitable practices in the design and delivery of TA, with a particular emphasis on racial equity given the intersections with homelessness and housing instability.
3. Direct TA engagements within specific communities; designed to help CoCs, Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG) recipients, other homeless service providers, local partners, and public officials improve their local crisis and housing responses to homelessness, address disparities, and achieve reductions in homelessness.
4. Developing and delivering training curriculums to expand the knowledge and skills of state and local grantees.
5. Designing tools within specific engagements to support local efforts addressing challenges to improving housing assistance and production programs.

This position offers an anticipated annual base salary range of approximately $91,408.75 to $146,254.01 and may vary by ten percent depending on candidate geographic location. Salary offers are made based on internal equity and market analysis.
