Job Opportunity Overview
We are looking for a dynamic leader to guide our Information Technology team. This role involves overseeing all technology systems on campus, such as cybersecurity, administrative software and databases, wired and wireless computing, telecommunications, classroom technology, computer lab facilities, printing processes, and network support. The position will report directly to the Vice President for Finance & Operations and is a full-time, exempt role.Diversity and InclusionOur institution values cultural and ethnic diversity and encourages all interested candidates to apply.Key Responsibilities• Align IT and communication network goals with campus-wide strategies and outcomes.• Provide innovative vision on how information technology can enhance higher education.• Maintain strategic ownership of the Enterprise Resource Planning system and recommend improvements for campus-wide efficiency.• Manage IT operations, collaborating with staff and prioritizing the student experience.• Lead with a service-oriented mindset to foster exceptional customer service for internal stakeholders.• Optimize IT resources and budgets, balancing high demand with available supply and identifying technology opportunities.• Report directly to the VP of Finance and Operations and collaborate with the Senior Leadership Team, ensuring transparent communication.• Chair the Technology Advisory Group (TAG) and work with key university leaders.• Develop and provide relevant reporting metrics.• Implement strategies to enhance security and compliance.• Communicate effectively with all levels of the institution, including various committees and leadership teams.• Build collaboration through active listening and visionary leadership.• Manage vendor contracts and oversee the acquisition of software and hardware.• Optimize service costs using a mix of internal and external resources.• Lead change management efforts to support healthy transitions.• Perform additional duties as assigned.Additional Responsibilities• Oversee the IT department, including administrative systems, network infrastructure, telecommunications, and Help Desk services.• Foster partnerships with local businesses and other institutions.QualificationsMinimum Requirements:• Proven skills and abilities to fulfill all job functions.• A Christian perspective aligned with our mission and values, with a willingness to support the institution's spiritual goals.• Seven years of relevant experience or a Master's degree with five years of experience.• Experience in progressively higher management levels, including budget development and supervision.• Track record in project and budget management, as well as negotiating complex contracts.• Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.• Ability to understand and explain the potential and limitations of technology.• High degree of confidentiality and professionalism.• Ability to work extended hours, including weekends and evenings as needed.Preferred Qualifications• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.• Experience in information technology within a higher education setting.CompensationSalary will be determined based on educational background and experience.
