We’re looking for a Data Analyst to help us expand our Growth analytics and insights practice. You’ll be working with the Marketing and Growth teams to measure performance, highlight retention opportunities, and identify risks based on trends you’ve analysed in our data.
In line with Hootsuite's distributed workforce strategy, our flexible work arrangement allows for remote work or a hybrid model. This role is open to applicants located in Canada. In this role, you will report to the Director, Product Management.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
- Present data and insights in a clear and concise manner through the use of visuals, slide decks, and in unconventional ways.
- Develop, maintain, and optimize analytical dashboards for our internal teams.
- Provide actionable insights and analysis that drive results, inform strategies and maximize opportunities for the business.
- Identify, analyze, quantify and recommend effective data pointers and strategies based on measurable insights and optimizations.
- Undertake complex analysis, but instilling key insights in a simple model for business stakeholders to understand and act upon.
- Build dashboards, reports and metrics to help teams measure and monitor success.
- Leverage Excel, SQL and Tableau as required in building reproducible and concise analysis.
- Contribute to the team’s efforts to create and maintain training and project documentation.
- Develop specs and proposals for new tables and datasets that would enhance analysis and reporting for the business.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
- Intermediate level experience including a minimum of 1 years experience analysing data and developing advanced reporting and/or dashboards
- Degree or diploma in data analytics, statistics or a related field is a plus
- Advanced querying with SQL
- Ability to analyze data and create compelling visual dashboards with Tableau
- Advanced skills with spreadsheet software (Google Sheets and/ Microsoft Excel, etc.)
- Familiarity with customer behavioural data is a plus, including experience with churn modeling and retention forecasting
