Cleveland Cliffs has an opportunities for entry level steel production positions at our Dearborn Works facility. This opportunity is ideal for anyone looking to get a start in the steel-making industry.

Primary Responsibilities:

This is a general production position, therefore responsibilities will vary. Qualified applicants must be able to perform any and all tasks assigned and must be able to lift 50 pounds. These tasks typically involve physical labor, standing, bending, kneeling, and lifting, as needed. Candidates may be expected to operate machinery.

Minimum Qualifications:

• A high school diploma or GED.
• A valid drivers license.
• Three years of industrial work experience and mechanical aptitude or abilities preferred.
• Candidates must be willing to operate in-cab cranes that are approximately 70 feet above ground level or higher.

Due to the nature of the operations, the facility is manned 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and 365 days a year. Candidates are required to be willing to work any shift, any day of the week including nights, weekends, and holidays. Shifts are typically 8 to 12 hours a day and may include overtime.

Compensation for this position starts at $18.26 per hour with the opportunity for a higher hourly rate based upon position assigned.
