About Logansport State Hospital:
Logansport State Hospital is a state-operated inpatient psychiatric hospital for adults with mental illness. Using an interdisciplinary approach and evidence-based programming, we promote recovery and return of the individual to the community.
A housekeeper performs general cleaning duties in state agencies, facilities or offices ranging in size.
The essential functions of this role are as follows:

Cleans restrooms, sinks and mirrors

Mops and waxes floors
-
Dusts and polishes furniture
-
Washing windows, blinds and walls
-
Distributes paper towels, bathroom tissue, paper cups, cleansing agent, etc.

Requisitions, distributes and stores supplies
-
Reports needed repairs of equipment and facility

Working knowledge of the proper care of, and ability to use, cleaning equipment such as mops, brooms, vacuum cleaners, power scrubbers, polishers and buffers

Ability to follow written and verbal instructions

Assists in training new employees and complete necessary reports and order forms

Effectively communicates, both orally and in writing
This role does not provide direct supervision to direct reports.
Salary: This position traditionally starts at an annual salary of $26,312. Salary for this position may be commensurate with education and job experience.
