Location: Warehouse Operations & MaintenDepartment: Ops Admin - Grounds Maint DArea:NorthContract Months:12Hourly Rate: $18JOB SUMMARYUnder direct supervision, cuts grass, repairs damaged lawns and prunes trees and shrubs. Lays out and tends flower beds or other decorative vegetation. Maintains driveways and parking lots. Performs routine cleaning and maintenance on gardening and grounds equipment. Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures.MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES• Performs general grounds maintenance tasks year round.• Operates machinery necessary to maintain the grounds.• Maintains the recycling center, and the garden shed, including storage of garden tools, equipments, insecticides and fertilizers.• May attend to all plants, fish and animals during school breaks and summer months.• May assist the beekeeper with the beehives, which is necessary for pollination of the gardens.• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES CONTINUEDPerforms other job-related duties as assigned.EDUCATIONBasic Reading and WritingWORK EXPERIENCELess than 6 monthsSKILL AND/OR REQUIRED LICENSING/CERTIFICATIONGrounds maintenanceLEADERSHIP RESPONSIBILITIESNo supervisory or direct people management responsibilities. Interactions are mostly with customers, own supervisor and co-workers in own department.CUSTOMER RELATIONSHIPSFollows through with customer inquiries, requests and complaints.
