Shift Details:

  • Compensation: $38-$40/hour depending on experience and education
  • Monday - 7:00am-4:00pm 40 hours + weekends and events as required
  • Location: Conference Center Building 60 North Temple St, Salt Lake City, UT 84150
  • This is a Full-time position with medical benefits and paid time off.

**Please Note: This position does not qualify for students required to work on the Ensign College Campus.**


This role provides a vital contact for the coordination and supervision of event planning, development, and setup. Works with and understands a wide range of clients and event types. Expected to work with a high level of professionalism with all clients, departments and related event support groups. Expected to manage and coordinate events in such a manner to represent the Church in a very positive way. Expected to be in attendance when managing an event, often in the evening, on the weekend, or on holidays.


  • Coordinate between Facility Management and event sponsors such as church leaders, church departments, etc… in the planning, development, and setup of all scheduled events held in the facilities managed by the HQF Department.
  • Help train the volunteers that are assisting with events coordination.
  • Administer organizational policies and procedures relative to the use of CSMs serving as event coordinators augmenting full-time personnel in support of assigned events.
  • Assist the Client Support Services manager in other related duties as required.
  • May lead and train other event coordinators as the need arises.

  • BS degree in business, communications, public relations (or related field), or applicable equivalent experience and 6 plus years experience in event management.
  • Public relations or related areas and exceptional ability to organize and coordinate all phases of event management.
  • Ability to use a variety of computer software and related devices used in generating documents, schedules, setup renderings, etc.
  • Knowledge of crowd management processes is preferred, including a working knowledge of operational plans, charting and managing ingress and egress plans for audiences.
  • Ability to lead and train other employees.
  • Excellent communication skills, calm and rational decision-maker.
