The Benefits Assistant is responsible in administering all health & welfare and pension plans of the Conference and its vital mission partners for active and retired participants. The Benefits Assistant also assists in Property Insurance and Workers’ Compensation Insurance. The Benefits Assistant supports the Benefits Manager in maintaining accurate record reporting related to all Benefits and Insurance matters.
Essential Functions
· Enroll participants in health insurance (active and retiree plans) and dental plans in a timely manner so that participants may have access upon eligibility.
· Process monthly billing to local churches for insurance plans which include health, vision, dental, Life, Property Insurance, Pre-Funding Plan, and annual billing of Workers’ Compensation so that the Conference maintains best practices and Churches understand their financial responsibilities.
· Store historical insurance data via E-bridge and internal drives and maintain participant files within Arena so that accurate information in maintained.
· Liaison with Wespath,HealthFlex, and Via Benefits pertaining to health insurance and pension plan issues so that benefits resourcing is made available to all participants.We are seeking Clerical Assistants for our firm. This is a great opportunity offering training and room for growth!
